Diet, nutrition, health, and weight

Lately I haven't been eating very good things. I eat what I am able to when I am not sick. Mornings are terrible and then the sickness eases in the late afternoon. Then I am just plain hungry! and I eat whatever I can, end up overeating and feeling terrible again! And gaining weight.
So, I have given myself limits on the type and amount of food I may ingest. Morning is any fruit and a piece of toast. I allow fruit whenever I want, any amount. I allow any amount of veggies. I allow 6 oz of meat each day, if I want it. And carbs are restricted to a very small serving of simple carbs, fruit not included, and 2 servings of complex carbs. This allows for more than my colitis diet and is already having the effect of my losing the water retention that has blown up in the past week.
I am also making sure I drink plenty of water and taking vitamins each day.
I still won't step on the scale until I have lost a little more pudge. No sense in gaining too much weight. And if I can gain muscle instead, great.
I am refusing to allow colitis entrance. It has no place in my life.
I slept 11 hours last night. I felt like going to bed at 7pm, so I went. I slept very well through the night, woke a few times and drifted back to sleep. A little after 6am I woke with the kids and still felt like I could sleep, but children need watching!
This part of the blog will be just daily rumminations. No pictures yet!
